**Definition:** Alpha-mannosidase 2C1 (1040 aa, ~116 kDa) is encoded by the human MAN2C1 gene. This protein plays a role in the removal of alpha 1,2-, alpha 1,3-, and alpha 1,6-linked mannose residues from oligosaccharides released during the catabolism of N-linked glycoproteins.
