Actinium Ac 225-DOTA-Anti-STEAP2 Monoclonal Antibody AZD2284
**Semantic type:** Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** A radioimmunoconjugate composed of a humanized, immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) monoclonal antibody targeting the tumor-associated antigen (TAA) metalloreductase six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of prostate-2 (STEAP2; STAMP1) conjugated to the bifunctional, macrocyclic chelating agent tetra-azacyclododecanetetra-acetic acid (DOTA), and labeled with the alpha-emitting radioisotope actinium Ac 225 (225Ac), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon administration, the alpha-emitting STEAP2-targeting agent AZD2284 targets and binds to STEAP2-expressing prostate cancer cells, and internalizes. This results in the specific delivery of a cytotoxic dose of alpha radiation to prostate cancer cells expressing STEAP2. STEAP2 is a cell surface antigen overexpressed in prostate cancer with limited expression in normal tissue.
