IGH/BCL6 Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation, t(3;14)(q27;q32), which results in the juxtaposition of a strong transcriptional enhancer from the immunoglobulin heavy chain (IGH) gene locus upstream of the BCL6 gene. This fusion is associated with follicular lymphoma and with triple-hit and certain double-hit types of high grade diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
