Astroblastoma, MN1-Altered

**Definition:** A rare glial neoplasm characterized by structural rearrangements of the MN1 gene at chromosome band 22q12.1. It is usually found in the cerebral hemispheres of young adults and children and predominantly affects females. Morphologically, it consists of elongated glial cells with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and GFAP-positive processes, arranged perivascularly.
