**Definition:** Human DLEU2 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 13q14.2 and is approximately 98 kb in length. This allele, which encodes deleted in lymphocytic leukemia 2 non-protein coding RNA, is putatively involved in the inhibition of cancer cell growth. Genetic aberrations involving the gene are associated with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia, mantle-cell lymphoma and multiple myeloma.
