**Definition:** An analog of paclitaxel with antineoplastic activity. 10-Deacetyltaxol binds to and stabilizes the resulting microtubules, thereby inhibiting microtubule disassembly which results in cell- cycle arrest at the G2/M phase and apoptosis.
