Reporting Obligations

Under the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (Regulation 2023/956) importers of covered goods must submit detailed emissions reports to the European Commission. The reporting obligations require annual electronic declarations of the quantity of goods, their embedded CO2 content, the calculation methodology and verification evidence, enabling the calculation of the corresponding border carbon levy.
