Sec 221 - Tax on Certain Chemicals

Section 221 imposes an excise tax on manufacturers, importers and producers of certain hazardous chemicals listed by the Environmental Protection Agency, with revenues directed to the Superfund trust for cleanup of contaminated sites. The tax applies annually to specified quantities of each chemical and is part of the financing mechanisms established under CERCLA.
