Recommender System Transparency (Art 27)

The Digital Services Act (EU 2022/2065) requires online platforms to disclose how their recommender systems work, including the main parameters, data sources and any automated profiling that influence content suggestions. Providers must give users clear information on why specific items are suggested and allow them to adjust or opt out of such personalization. This transparency aim is set out in Article 27 of the regulation.
