Section 5 - Additional Obligations for VLOPs and VLOSEs

Section 5 of the EU Digital Services Act sets extra duties for Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs) and Very Large Online Search Engines (VLOSEs). It requires these services to implement risk-assessment and mitigation measures, provide transparent advertising and recommendation systems, and establish independent audit mechanisms to protect users and ensure market fairness.
