Coffee covered by Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 must meet strict due-diligence and traceability requirements to verify that it is produced without contributing to deforestation or forest degradation. Importers and traders must submit geo-referenced data on the land where the coffee was cultivated and certify compliance with EU standards before the product can be placed on the market.
