Scope and Covered Commodities

The scope defines which economic operators and product types fall under the regulation, applying to exporters, importers and producers placing certain agricultural and forestry commodities on the EU market. Covered commodities include coffee, cocoa, soy, palm oil, beef, rubber, timber and related products, as well as derived goods, and the rule extends to any supply chain stage that influences the risk of deforestation linked to these items.
