B.10 Event tree analysis
Event tree analysis is a forward-looking, diagrammatic technique that starts from a defined initiating event and maps out subsequent possible outcomes, incorporating success or failure of safety functions to quantify the likelihood of each scenario. It is used to assess complex risks and supports decision-making in IEC 31010:2019.
