Annex B - Risk Assessment Techniques

Annex B of IEC 31010 2019 compiles a catalogue of risk-assessment techniques that can be applied in risk-management projects, ranging from qualitative methods such as brainstorming and check-lists to quantitative approaches including Monte Carlo simulation and fault-tree analysis, and provides guidance on selecting the most suitable technique based on the nature of the risk, available data and required level of detail.
