B.8 FMEA and FMECA
B.8 FMEA and FMECA are systematic techniques used to identify possible failure modes of a system, evaluate the effects of those failures on performance, and prioritize them based on severity, occurrence and detectability. FMECA extends the analysis by assigning a criticality rating that quantifies the risk associated with each failure mode, supporting more informed risk-reduction decisions.
