Substance Evaluation (Art 44-48)

The REACH regulation (EC No 1907/2006) requires the European Chemicals Agency to assess certain substances for safety risks under Articles 44-48. This "substance evaluation" process identifies candidates for further regulatory action, such as authorisation or restriction, based on hazard and exposure information submitted by industry and other stakeholders.
