Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) are brominated flame-retardant chemicals that can persist in the environment and pose health risks. Under the EU RoHS 2 directive they are listed as a restricted substance, with a maximum allowable concentration of 0.1 % by weight in homogeneous materials.
