Art 17 - Provision of support for economically viable alternatives

Article 17 of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control urges parties to provide economic and technical assistance that enables tobacco growers and workers to shift to sustainable, economically viable alternative livelihoods, thereby reducing dependence on tobacco production and supporting broader development goals.
