Vehicles, Aircraft, Vessels and Transport Equipment

Section XVII of the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule groups together all goods used for transportation, including motor vehicles, aircraft, vessels, railway rolling stock, and related parts, accessories and equipment. It covers complete units as well as components that can be assembled into these transport machines. This heading forms the basis for tariff rates and statistical tracking of transport equipment imports and exports.
