Infectious mononucleosis
**Definition:** A disease typically caused by an infection with Epstein-Barr virus or cytomegalovirus. This disease commonly presents with extreme fatigue, fever, acute pharyngitis, body aches, or lymphadenopathy. Transmission is by direct contact with infected body fluids, commonly through saliva.
