Congenital muscular dystrophy

**Definition:** Congenital muscular dystrophies with central nervous system abnormalities are a heterogeneous group of autosomal recessively inherited degenerative muscle disorders associated with cerebral and cerebellar dysplasia, white matter abnormalities and ocular abnormalities in some subtypes.
