Absence of Biallelic TCRgamma Deletion

**Semantic type:** Cell or Molecular Dysfunction

**Definition:** The absence of rearrangement of at least one allele of the T-cell receptor gamma gene locus. This lack of rearrangement is characteristic of early thymocyte precursors and a lack of V(D)J recombination. This genetic profile is a predictor of induction therapy failure in children with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
