Dynemicin

**Definition:** An antitumor antibiotic of the enediyne class. It has demonstrated high DNA cleavage activity in the presence of NADPH, antimicrobial and tumor growth-inhibiting properties. Dynemicin recognizes and cleaves conformationally flexible regions of DNA. It attacks bases at 3'-side of purine residues such as 5'-AG, 5'-AT, and 5'-GC sequences. (NCI)
