Part V - Exclusive Economic Zone

Part V of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea defines the Exclusive Economic Zone, granting coastal states sovereign rights to explore, exploit and manage natural resources within 200 nautical miles of their baselines, while preserving the right of other states to navigate and overfly the zone.
